Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Program 2025

Participation in a meaningful research experience early in one's undergraduate education has been shown to increase persistence in, and enthusiasm for, earning a STEM degree. The Chevron Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Program will support freshmen and sophomore undergraduate students from CSUB and students transferring to CSUB from community colleges to work alongside a faculty member on a summer science or engineering research project.

SURE is a four-week program that takes place at the CSUB campus June 2 - June 26, 2025, Monday - Thursday 9am - 4pm.

Participants will earn up to a $2,000 stipend after the successful completion of the program.

Application deadline is Sunday, April 27th, 2025. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by Friday, May 9th.
